Avoocotessa's Round 1 entry to Miss SDL 09. Fantasy theme.
For the fanasy theme I went for a really science fiction type fashion statement. Also gracefully side stepped having to paint hair. Avvocotessa's fantasy pets are my own creations called q'onai (kwon-aey)
I was going to make the same mention of Skydoll for this drawing. Looks great and, depending on your style, the feet might or might not be improved upon. I'm not sure yet. I like stuff to be anatomically correct but then again, style can usurp function. I'd like to see more work done on her the lace because it does look too unfinished for this drawing. Beautiful use of textures and colors on this. Wonderful job on the whole.

thanks so much. yeah I know it's still unfinished. a week ago i did some muscle injury to my hands which make it impossible to finish as it was a slow and painful process getting done what was there. The feet do need work, dw I'm aware but after Mis SDL I'll be coming back tot this peice and fixing it all up. but thanks very much for the comment and i'll keep your advice in mind.
ouch ouch ooooouch! That's no fun at all. I remember one time falling terribly hard on my tail bone and for the weeks after that, it hurt to walk, sit, get up and generally anything that involves leg movement and squatting. Even now I can pop my tail bone because of the accident. I can only imagine how rough it is having an injury to your hand. Here's hoping that you'll make a swift recovery. Otherwise, you might have to learn how to draw left/right handed. Ain't that the nice thing of having two hands? Love your art deary, do keep it up because I do so enjoy it. What was this I hear about you having some sort of art job asking for you to have a more european style? As long as it's something you enjoy doing, go for it. I know sometimes I'd like to change my style because of so much other influince I've seen.

haha my injury isn't half as bad. i just brused the muscles in both hands while swinging a wood splitter because I wanted to 'try it' And yes. I'm being coached by the owner of fourth dimension entertainment. Eric (my boss) is working with me to get my work up to a satge where he can contract me on for a project. Because I don't have a 'style' persay the work I'm doing for him is steering towards a more european comic art feel, but I'm not putting myself in a boss and keep doing my own think on the side as to not confuse work with pleasure haha. I very rarely put up the work i do for 4DE up here on DA, but sometime they overlap a bit.
hahahaha I see, I see. Well since you got that out of your system, you'll at the very least know what to expect next time you wish to "try it". He must see alot of potential in you. Good eye that one. Everyone has a prefered method and I'm one who enjoys most styles of art. Even over the top anime (which isn't preferred) if the artist is young and shows alot of promise. I like watching folk who show alot of skill and talent because we all had to start somewhere and seeing progress is one of my guilty pleasures. Only make sure not to get too full of yourself and think you above others. Thats an unfortunate trapping I see in many skilled artists. Congradulations though! One day I want to make art my sorce of income as well. Keep it up and do keep sharing what you can with us~

Got some unscannable artwork? Own a camera but no scanner? Here's a guide of things to consider in order to effectively take quality photographs of your work. [A tutorial by `fox-orian]
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
